Well, welcome to Sliding Rock Cabins on the Ellijay River. We’re very excited to announce that we’ve been granted all permitting approvals and have begun stocking a large private section of our Ellijay River fronting cabins with hundreds of pounds of rainbow trout. As many anglers know, the Georgia Department of Natural Resources already introduces millions of trout to our local rivers and streams, in anticipation of the upcoming trout season. Sliding Rock Cabins has been granted the rights to stock a large, private section of the Ellijay River, with nice size, catch and release rainbow trout. With these two initiatives, a true fan of trout fishing will be able to be fishing within minutes, with just a few steps from the front door of their luxurious North Georgia Vacation Rental.
As one of our cabin owners commented, after a couple of hours catching and releasing 17 good sized, adult trout, some as large as 4 pounds, “He’d not had that much fly-fishing fun in years!” Anita, his wife then lamented, “Yes, but now I’ll never get you out of the river”.
